Plus, plenty of climbing.
Venues
We normally use:
Northumberland: Kyloe, nr Belford or East Woodburn, off the A68.
North Yorkshire: Thirsk area - Scugdale crag
All specialist equipment can be provided

Price
£180 for the day, up to a MAX of 9 participants, depending on the scope of the work
A VIEW FROM THE TOP
The beginnings of outdoor lead climbing
Aims
Setting up top rope and bottom rope anchors at single pitch venues, getting in and out the system, belaying from the top and from the bottom of the crag.
We aim to cover
Identifying hazards at outdoor climbing venues
Equipment and anchor selection, and placing gear
Belaying from the top of the crag (using dynamic rope)
Use of static rope to equalise loads and set up anchors to belay from the bottom of the crag
Plus, plenty of climbing
Venues

Price
£200 for the day, up to a MAX of 4 participants, depending on the scope of the work.

PAYMENT INFORMATION AND TERMS
Session fees include instruction, insurance, and all equipment provided - though if you have your own items, please feel free to bring them. Transport for some outdoor activities can be organised, but at an extra cost.
After an enquiry or from the link on the website you should get a booking and consent form to fill in.
Once we receive the booking/consent form we will send out a payment link, for payment via bank transfer to Newcastle Climbing (Tide Bank). Please include yours or you child's name as the payee reference so that we can easily track payments.
Cost of sessions will be outlined in any relevant section and varies per activity, payable in advance. Places are not secured until this payment is received. Prompt payment is required at the time of booking to secure places.
Once we receive your payment we will allocate your place(s) and confirm your booking by email.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Cancellation by the client.
In the event of cancellation by you, we will offer a full refund if the place is cancelled at least a week in advance, as this gives us a chance to fill the place. If cancellation is made within the 1 week period, the fee is non-refundable unless we can fill your place.
Choose your clothing, kit and footwear carefully: Newcastle Climbing Services will not be responsible for damage to, or loss of, clothing or other personal items resulting from participation in our activities.
Cancellation by us
Our courses require minimum numbers and, if outdoors, suitable weather conditions in order to run. If minimum numbers are not reached or due to adverse weather we will refund your payment in full, or transfer your booking to a future date, We will notify you of the cancellation not less than three days prior to the course (minimum numbers not reached) or one or two days prior to the course (poor weather). We rarely cancel but we may need to if bad weather means that we can't run an enjoyable course.
For indoor sessions, we will only cancel due to illness. In this event, on our behalf, a full refund or transfer to suitable date will be offered.
